Months before my trip, the hotel messaged to say there’d be a free airport shuttle. I spent an hour trying to find one that apparently wasn’t there, then gave up and took an Uber. When I finally got to the place, it was basically a ghost hotel. After a fruitless search at 11 PM in the rain, on crutches after surgery, I found there was no hotel at all. No one had told me, and my Booking.com confirmation is still active. I didn’t read the reviews when it would have mattered. One of the most ridiculous travel experiences I’ve had.

They shut this hotel down before it ever opened.

I had a confirmed booking and arrived at Vienna Airport, only to learn from Airport Info that the hotel didn't exist and had filed for bankruptcy. Nobody had told me. I was left spending an hour and a half trying to find somewhere else at short notice.
