Motel One Wien-Hauptbahnhof

We picked this hotel because we were arriving from Munich and had a flight the next day. Being right beside the train station made it really convenient. The room was clean, big enough, and had a nice view.

The room was small but very comfortable, and the public transport links were convenient. It's good for train connections, though a bit far from the city center. We had to wait almost an hour to get in because staff were changing shifts, even though the room was ready. With limited vacation time, that was frustrating, especially as they said there were system issues. The staff we saw when leaving were super friendly, unlike the staff at arrival. Cleanliness also wasn't great, with some hair in the bathroom. Still, it's good value, and we might choose it if we travel to Vienna by train again. The airport also has a very easy, fast train connection to the station.

I left a watch in the room and emailed reception. They said it hadn't been found, though I'm certain I left it there. I followed up the next day to ask if anything had turned up and got no reply. A couple of days later, I emailed again and was ignored. Hopefully you don't leave anything in the room, because it seems unlikely you'll get it back. Either it was stolen or they couldn't be bothered to look.

Public transport made it easy to get anywhere, and the location was great. Reception customer service was easily the best part of the hotel. Deni suggested several great spots and made our Vienna trip really special. Thanks, Deni, you're one of a kind.
