Radisson Blu Das Triest Hotel, Vienna

On a business trip, this was easily the best hotel I've stayed at. The sauna was amazing, and the staff were lovely. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. The hotel was very clean, and my room felt crisp and homey, with lots of space.

We spent five days in Vienna and chose Radisson Blu Style Hotel, Vienna for the price and location. It worked out really well. We were in District 4, only a few blocks from District 1, where we spent most of our time. Cafés, markets, and pubs were all around, and getting this location without paying a lot more was a great choice. Our first room had an odd layout, with the shower in front of the bedroom, so we asked to move. The fridge also wasn't working, and we hadn't realized the city controls the A/C and heating. Tristan Moir at reception was very helpful and friendly. He explained the climate system and dealt with our concerns professionally, making us feel valued. Thanks to Tristan and the team, we'd definitely come back.

We had to change rooms three times because the air-conditioning wasn't working. At one point we were even told to leave the window open over a noisy street. The bar shut at 10, and the hotel was understaffed. The staff who were there did their best, but it was a shocking stay. They offered 10% off a future booking, but we definitely won't return.

The shower has brilliant water pressure, but that's the only good thing I can say. I'm in the old wing in a "superior suits" room, and they can't do anything about the heating. Be careful with offers through Booking.com or Expedia. It's not worth suffering through this heat, even in April. They'll put you in the old wing, and you'll suffer like I am. I would have been better off booking an apartment with Aircon. At least then I could have slept.
