Vienna Living Apartments - Schönbrunn

We loved every minute of our stay and were very happy here. The apartments are spacious and have all the things you need, and the host was kind and available for anything we needed. There's a supermarket nearby and public transport stops close to the apartment. You can get to Vienna in 20-30 minutes by public transport. It's a great place to stay away from the chaos of the city center, and I really recommend it.

The host was great, very friendly and flexible. Our apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. It's a few bus stops from Schonnbrun and the U4 metro line. Four bus lines connect to the metro, and the buses come about every 10 minutes.

The apartment felt unsafe, unhealthy, and unclean. We had a one-bedroom place with a kitchen and shower, but although it had an oven and microwave, there were no pots or pans to use in either. That left us able to bake a frozen pizza or heat ready-made food, but not roast or bake anything ourselves. It was filthy when we arrived. Long black hairs were everywhere, from the sheets and kitchen cupboards to the floors and shower. The bathroom was disgusting, with mildew on the walls, limescale on the fittings, and a sewage smell throughout the room and apartment. The shower drain looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The kitchen was just as bad: the sink seemed long uncleaned, the stovetop was sticky and grimy, and the floors beneath the bed and couch hadn't been swept. The provided vacuum was full of dirt, and we didn't feel safe using it. We spent six nights there in January, and it was warm enough only on the last one. There were two infrared heaters in each room, but some made strange noises and didn't provide enough comfort. The bathroom stayed ice cold even with the thermostat on. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows didn't seem like real pillows, just something stuffed into pillowcases. There was no lift, and our apartment was on the fifth floor. We had to carry all our suitcases and our 20-month-old toddler upstairs, and nobody had warned us. Some of the infrared heaters were within children's reach and got very hot, which felt dangerous. Power sockets were also hanging out of the wall. There's no free parking in front of the property. You have to pay from 9 am to 10 pm, which we hadn't known, and we got a parking fine.

There were several things missing, including a TV remote and toiletries in the bathroom. The apartment is large, but very dirty, with lots of dust on the floors and furniture.
