Vienna Apartment One Schmidgasse

The location suited us perfectly, the place was clean, and the service was courteous. The AC was the main reason our stay went well. It couldn't cool the whole apartment, but it helped so much in the heat wave that I'm not sure we could have managed Vienna without it. Nothing else to complain about.

Supermarkets and restaurants are close, and getting around the historic centre and museums was easy. Our three-bedroom apartment was clean, quiet, and in a fantastic spot in the historic centre. The kitchen was well equipped, with almost everything needed to cook, plus a dishwasher and washing machine. We didn't find any toiletries, though, and there was no cleaning during our stay of more than two days.

We could leave our luggage in a secure room after checkout, and there are Billa and Spar in the area. For seven days, the apartment had what a family needs, including an oven, washing machine, hair dryer, and fridge. It was very clean, cozy, and comfortable, and communication with the host was great. The apartment is central, but during this period the metro wasn't running in the area, so we had to walk. It was a little cold in the bedroom, and the heater had a few more errors that meant I had to restart it. There was quite a bit of noise from the stairs and elevator. Those weren't real problems, though. Everything was great apart from the weather.

We stayed two nights as a group of three adults at the Vienna Apartment One Schmidgasse. It was clean, well-equipped, and convenient for public transport, shops, and restaurants. The floors are old and creaky, so walking around, especially at night, can be noisy. Some amenities listed online weren't there, including an extra toilet for guests. We paid extra to park in a private covered garage, but there was no electric car charging. They refunded the parking fee to make up for the missing toilet. A good choice for a short Vienna stay, with a few minor inconveniences.
