Vienna Residence, Landstraße - Rochusgasse

Warning, the photos online are fake! We were shocked by the state of our two apartments. They were so run-down and moldy that we left straight away. The photos show what I mean, and mine are of Studio 30/33.

This review is for Vienna Residence - Rochusmarkt, where reviews have been disabled. The location was good, the two-ring induction hob worked, and the kitchen had the basics, though only sparingly. The bed linen was clean. Before the stay, my messages got quick, friendly and helpful replies. After check-in, though, I got no response to messages during the stay. The apartment doesn't match its photos or description. It was listed as "allergy friendly," but there was thick dust on the cabinets and lamps, along with a persistent smell of tobacco and damp, musty mold. It would be unsuitable for allergy sufferers with lung problems. The place was poorly decorated and in a very worn state: peeling wallpaper, broken furniture, a worrying-looking dirty headboard, cracked and badly laid floorboards, moldy bathroom grout and dirty walls. The towel rack and toilet seat were loose, too. The apartment door lock was broken, so even after it closed, I wasn't sure it had actually locked. Wi-Fi was slow and sluggish even with light use, barely reaching 7 mb/s. The building itself was grimy and worn, with a small, clunky lift. The apartment was at the top of the building, something no information or messages had mentioned. I opened a case with Revolut, which I used to book, and got 27% back from the accommodation. That was a small patch, and didn't make up for the inaccurate description or the high price.
