The shower leaked badly and left the bathroom wet. WiFi was nearly nonexistent, though that didn’t bother us, and we could have used basic information about the place and things like the campfire. It would also have helped to know where to get firewood; we ended up gathering it ourselves. The cottage itself felt very cozy and surrounded by nature. Since it’s one of three cottages, it was nice getting to know the neighbors around the campfire. On our last morning, a helicopter landed right in front to bring groceries to the nearby mountain cottages. That was a memorable bonus.

Our booking was confirmed and paid for in advance, but when our group of 11, with two dogs and three cars, arrived late in the evening, one of the two houses was occupied by other guests. No one from Almdorf Präbichl was there to let us in, and repeated calls went unanswered. We were left out in the cold with nowhere to sleep and no help. The owner had double-booked one of the houses and offered no support or explanation. It caused serious stress and ruined our trip. I found the whole experience deeply disappointing and negligent, and would not risk booking here.
