The views were stunning, and we had a hard time leaving. We stayed in a comfortable, well-equipped two-bedroom apartment with half-board as a family with a toddler. The mostly local dishes, some made with ingredients straight from the farm, were wonderful, and the staff took care with our son's allergies. We also enjoyed the animals, playground and indoor playroom. The owners and staff made us feel very welcome. We'd happily come back.

We appreciated how easy it was to explore the surrounding area from here during our weeklong stay, and parking for hotel guests was free. The hotel was spotless and very well maintained, with a helpful, warm staff. There was plenty to enjoy on site too, including a spa, free mountain bikes and a playground for the kids. The member card we received also covered entry to many local attractions at no extra cost. We had a great stay and would gladly return.

The setting and scenery were breathtaking, and the food was amazing during our family holiday here in 2021. Our house, the sauna, pool and other facilities were all very clean and nice. There's something for every age group. What stood out most was the family running the resort: they were always smiling, loving with the kids, and did everything they could to keep us happy without ever seeming stressed.

We keep coming back in both summer and winter, and the mountain views are a big reason why. There are plenty of outdoor activities right from the doorstep, and we love the animal experiences, outdoor play and hikes at this family-run farm. The hosts always give us such a warm welcome and work hard to make family stays enjoyable. The wellness area is especially lovely, with a heated outdoor pool overlooking the mountains. Breakfast through dinner has lots of good choices for kids, and the cocktails are a fun little extra for adults. Can't wait to visit again!!!!!

We spent four days at Almresort Baumschlagerberg and enjoyed the stay enough to want to come back. The pool and spa had what we needed to unwind after hiking, and there are outdoor activities and places nearby, including Hinterstoder. Our hosts were attentive and friendly, making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The restaurant was consistently good at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is fresh or organic and comes from local producers, with something for everyone. We care quite a bit about food and weren't disappointed, and we liked the wine selection from Styria, Burgenland and the region. The view is hard to miss wherever you are. We first noticed it on the drive up, but it was even better from the hotel, whether by the pool, from a nearby field, at the restaurant or from our bedroom. The Totes Gebirge Mountains are always in sight, and this might become our regular vacation spot.
