Sporthotel Wagrain

The childcare team were a real highlight. Both our children, aged 2 and 7, went to ski school, and one day our youngest even asked to go to childcare instead of skiing. They took excellent care of both kids. We heard the facilities are being expanded for the 2027 season, which is great news. The hotel's a 2-minute walk across the road from the gondola, which you can see from the front door, and having ski hire and storage on site made things much easier with young children. We stayed at SPORTHOTEL WAGRAIN as two adults with the kids. Food was top quality throughout. Breakfast had a fantastic selection, and dinner worked really well for adults and children alike. I may have gone back for a bit too much from the children's buffet once or twice! The 3-5pm afternoon spread was more like a full buffet meal than a snack. Our only small food gripe was that tea, coffee, and hot chocolate cost extra. Other hotels we've stayed at usually offer those with cake for free in the afternoon. I was a little surprised by such a big food offering instead, since it felt like a lot before dinner. Maybe cake with tea, coffee, or juice, like at breakfast, would work better. Just a suggestion. The pool, gym, and spa were excellent, with no complaints. Staff stood out most: the place feels family-run, and the team seem valued and well looked after. Many appear to have been there a long time. They were trained, professional, and attentive. 10/10 to everyone. One small suggestion is to keep the dining room cooler at dinner, as it can get quite warm. It's the best ski hotel we've stayed in, and we'll be back next year, probably the year after too. You certainly won't go hungry, and the quality stays high. Highly recommended for families.

The food was delicious, and the service was better than expected. The location is excellent and worth every euro. You can't go wrong booking here. I recommend it 100%, and I'll definitely be back.

The food was top-notch, varied, and tasty. Thanks to the chefs, cooks, and kitchen crew. Every soup was good enough to go back for another bowl. Service was excellent throughout, from the restaurant and bar to room service and everything else in the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was practical and thoughtfully set up, with a small but usable balcony. Temperature was comfortable, sometimes a bit too warm, and opening the balcony door helped let in cool air. Fresh towels came daily, along with spa towels and bathrobes. The hotel feels both modern and traditional, and it's the best I've stayed in for service and practicality. The outdoor pool has a beautiful view, the spa area is relaxing, and the ski lockers have well-planned heating equipment. The gondola is only a few minutes away, which makes this a great ski choice. One concern: the naked sauna may not suit guests from different cultural backgrounds or with different views. I think that makes it unfair to some people who'd like to use the facility, and I hope the hotel will reconsider.

We stayed for 3 nights and left very happy. The spa was clean, the sauna had an amazing view, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly.
