Moshammer Hotels Restaurant

It took a full hour for anyone to acknowledge our group of four, take our order and bring the food. The service was far too slow. My fish was overdone, and the vegetables seemed to be from frozen stock. When we complained, the owner implied it was our fault for cooking a little after our reserved time and because a larger party had arrived shortly before us. But two tables next to us, who arrived after us, had already eaten and paid before we even got our order. We won’t return.

The restaurant is the part you really shouldn't skip. Austria already does good food well, but Moshammer is a step above, with ingredients from local farms and careful cooking that makes familiar Hausmannskost feel light and lovely. Breakfast is great too. The family who run this little place are welcoming and the staff are helpful and pleasant. It's right on the Ybbstal cycle trail, with the Ybbs and Waidhofen in view from the restaurant terrace. You'll want to visit to see for yourself.

A really pleasant place, and the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly, though clearly busy, so service took a while. I'd definitely recommend it for a good meal.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, apart from the bells ringing at the nearby church.
