We had a lovely stay at Schmiedererhof with three adults and our six-year-old. It was nice that our child could just be a kid there, and we really felt at home. The setting is beautiful, with a lovely view from the room or balcony, and the lift is right across the street. The apartment had plenty of room in the kitchen and living area, a private shower and toilet, and a TV in both the bedroom and living room. The beds were comfortable, with no sagging mattresses. There’s a restaurant opposite, though we preferred staying in after dinner to play games with our little one. It was peaceful knowing nobody was staring when our child jumped around and laughed. On our departure day, we had breakfast downstairs instead of making it ourselves. It was delicious, everything was there, and the hostess kept checking whether we were happy or wanted anything else. Family Prantner, thank you for your hospitality and the lovely company during our holiday. We’ll definitely return. The Van de Waal Family

The room we got was nothing like the one shown on the website. It felt cramped, wasn’t very clean, and had extremely dated furniture. The en-suite bathroom didn’t work at all, and it smelled musty and old. Honestly, the whole experience was awful.

I’m open to changing this review if something gives me a reason to, but I’m already extremely disappointed and my holiday hasn’t even begun. I called and an elderly woman answered, but she was very hard to understand. I asked a reasonable question and she hung up on me. I called back several times to ask why, and she immediately hung up again. Now I can’t get hold of anyone, even though I’ve already booked. The service has been terrible, and I’m starting to worry that I may have been ripped off. I hope this gets sorted out soon.

The room was very poor value for the price, and the apartment that was available wasn’t provided. The landlady’s behavior was a minus ten. Be very careful and look again at what you’re getting for that price!

The mountain and ski slope views are magnificent, and it’s a very family-friendly house. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend!
