Ibis Budget Salzburg Airport

Clean room, but there’s no hairdryer. Breakfast is limited to rolls, cold cuts, and drinks, so it doesn’t really feel like breakfast. Fine for one night, nothing beyond that.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I’m giving four stars because I had safety concerns: nobody was there to check our passports when we checked in or when we checked out. We’d arrived from the U.S., and the lack of staff worried me because of human trafficking.

We couldn’t get into our room because the code didn’t work. It was winter and midnight, and we were left without a room. We waited until 4am, then spent the rest of the night at the airport. I called the emergency service several times, but nobody answered. Booking.com couldn’t help either.

The room was clean and self check-in was convenient, but the cigarette smell was awful, all along the corridor and even in the room. Noise from neighboring rooms was unbelievable. We needed sleep on the way back from Italy, but I got only two hours because people were making noise until 2 in the morning. Never again. If you need to sleep, don’t come here.
