Wellnesshotel Warther Hof

The food was amazing and the staff were great. It's a top hotel right in front of the ski slopes, and the service was excellent. One small thing: the master bed in the family suite was two singles rather than a double. Highly recommend for a ski vacation!

I haven't stayed here. I called to ask about work and get an email address for sending our CVs. A French woman answered, I think her name was Alice, and she was an excellent person: empathetic, friendly, respectful and really committed to helping us. She takes her work seriously and speaks German, English and French. She also surprised us by speaking Spanish. Thank you, and may life give you the same kindness you give others.

Awful all around. The hotel is extremely old-fashioned and needs a complete renovation. The tiny, outdated spa is down in the basement with no ventilation, and it stinks badly. The whole hotel smells awful too, since there are no kitchen extractors and the foul pork and fish smells spread everywhere. The saunas and steam rooms aren't scented, and there's no Aufguss. There aren't proper relaxation rooms either, just a narrow little exit passage with four tacky, old-fashioned metal recliners. The outdoor pool area is tiny and claustrophobic, with no open space or grassy fields. The food wasn't good, and breakfast was very poor, with no fresh fruit juice and salmon that tasted terribly stale. The hotel charges exorbitant rates for transfers, but guests ride in a very old, dirty minibus without GPS or other modern technology. The driver struggled and got frustrated trying to find our location, wasting lots of time driving around town. Katarina at reception was terrible, rude and unhelpful.

Everyone I dealt with at the Wellnesshotel was accommodating, from the front desk and bartender to the shuttle driver. They made our short visit really enjoyable, and I'd definitely come back.
