The food was okay, but it didn’t live up to what we expected for the prices. We also waited a very long time for our dishes, after struggling to place the order in the first place. We came for dinner with my family after someone recommended the restaurant. It offers fine dining, either à la carte or as a set menu, but we had to ask three waiters how ordering worked. The first two couldn’t explain it; a third eventually did. Nobody clarified any of the dishes or the complimentary bites they brought us. The service was truly poor, and I can’t recommend it.

Amazing breakfasts, gorgeous wine, great rooms, and such friendly hosts. One of the best places to stay between Passau and Vienna. What’s not to love?

The hostess was so warm and welcoming, and we really enjoyed her hospitality during our two-night family stay with our two children. The room was beautiful, and breakfast was fantastic. It’s also in a prime spot in one of the most beautiful parts of the Wachau region.

I stayed with friends from August 2nd to August 6th, 2025. The comfortable bed and in-room refrigerator were positives, but we had a lot of problems. There was dirt under the beds, the coffee machine was dirty, the sink barely drained, the shower water was lukewarm, and the service was poor. The owner came into our room every day and moved our belongings wherever she thought they should go. We played until 11:00 PM one evening, then the next day she was offended and said we had supposedly been too loud. We were also charged extra to charge a bike battery, which wasn’t a good deal for me.

Silke really spoils you at breakfast, and we got helpful insider tips for excursions. The rooms are lovingly decorated, and the garden has a lovely view of the Danube. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. If you’re after somewhere unusual, this is the place. Wösendorf in the Wachau region is beautiful.
