Haus Rohr

The property is beautiful and very well maintained, with lovely rooms and a very nice jetty. Having guest refrigerators in the house and on the jetty was a plus. Still, we'll definitely return to Lake Weissensee, but not to this house. We didn't feel comfortable among what seemed to us to be clearly favored regular guests. The owner came across more as a boss than a host, and we felt watched. The balcony also lacked a partition between us and the neighbors. Breakfast didn't meet what I'd consider a full standard, and the room was too small, especially in bad weather. The 9:30 end time felt too early for a holiday; 10:00 would be ideal. When we left, nobody asked whether we'd enjoyed our stay or were satisfied. I felt a direct conversation wasn't possible, or even wanted, so I'm giving this detailed review. We prefer to leave later because of traffic. Parking would have been possible, but we weren't allowed to stay on the jetty or in the rear area. That has never happened to us in all our years of travelling, and it speaks for itself. Those are our impressions, and others may see it differently.

Lake Weissensee was wonderful, but we wouldn't stay at this guesthouse again. We felt merely put up with, and in all our years of travel we haven't met a landlady this rude and unfriendly. The breakfast was a bad joke. If you want a relaxing holiday, I'd steer clear.

Breakfast with a lake view was wonderful, and the hosts were so friendly. We had a lovely stay and will definitely come back.

The rooms facing the lake are especially worth choosing: there's a direct view and no traffic noise. The lake is close by, the facilities there are excellent, and breakfast was perfect. We also felt warmly welcomed.
