Ferienwohnungen Bauernhof Schilcher

The kids are always keen to help out around the farm, and the Schilcher family takes time to answer all their many questions. We've stayed with them several times and keep enjoying our visits. The apartment is simple, but has everything we need. If the weather and timing work out, we sometimes get to have a campfire too. Already looking forward to going back.

The apartment itself was really nice, but we found cleanliness seriously lacking. Dust was everywhere, including thick layers on shelves and behind the washing machine in the bathroom. The lower cupboards, kitchen cupboards, and coffee machine were dirty too. There wasn't a floor mat, so my dog kept slipping while eating. It was unclean all around, and then they charged €30 for final cleaning. Outrageous!

The view over Wolfsberg is breathtaking, and the apartment is peaceful despite being centrally placed toward the Koralpe mountain range, about 3 kilometers from Wolfsberg. A grocery store and other shops are only a few minutes away by car. We stayed with the Schilcher family in October in their holiday apartment, "Kuschelnest" (Cuddle Nest), and felt warmly welcomed. Our two dogs had a great time on the farm. We've stayed in plenty of holiday apartments, but none were equipped as well as this one. They even had games, books, and crayons for children, so there was no chance of getting bored. The Schilcher family are incredibly welcoming, and we'll certainly stay again.

There's so much for kids to do: cows, cats, a big trampoline, and a little hideaway in one apartment stocked with toys like Barbies and cars. The rooms also have books and board games, and downstairs there's a ping-pong table and darts. No chance of getting bored! The place is exceptionally clean, too. A full 5 stars, TOP TOP TOP! We'd love to come back. The Schilcher family are incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially if you need to arrive early.
