The food and salads in the restaurant were delicious, and the portions were large for the price. We especially enjoyed the Schwarzer Peter, a delicious dark beer, and the Hirter Beer, an excellent red ale. Evening staff were lovely, and the boss was friendly and checked that everything was okay. We had a great one-night stay in this historic hotel. The spacious room and charming, distinctive building made a nice impression, and the completely round bathroom was a unique touch. Free parking spaces were available a short walk away. The morning staff were unfortunately less pleasant, and the cleaning lady opened our door without knocking.

Breakfasts are the best part, with lots of choices and tasty options, and the rooms are always clean and cozy. The service is really nice and helpful. We usually stop here overnight on our long drive to southern Italy, but I’d happily stay longer. It’s close to the highway, and after a long drive we always go to the nice pizza place downstairs. This is our regular stop on the way to Italy, and we’ll definitely keep coming back!

They cancelled our reservation the night before we were due to arrive, even though we'd booked two months ahead and had received confirmation. It was their mistake, and they offered no solution. Very bad customer service.

They could still work on two things for the future: the spa and asphalt paving for the free parking lot. Even so, this is a very nice hotel, well kept and clean, with fair prices. Breakfast is like something at a 5-star hotel. For dinner, their restaurant is an excellent choice, with local dishes, some specialities, very good pizza and friendly staff.
