SPAR is right across the street, and we could walk to Zillertalbahn Station in about 10 minutes or to Zillertal Arena in 10-15. The location was one of the things we loved about Gielerhof. We spent three unforgettable days in Zeel am Ziller last month. The apartment had two roomy, cozy bedrooms, a complete kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a very wide balcony connecting the bedrooms. The host was friendly, too. There was a construction project on the left side, which was the one downside, but it thankfully wasn’t loud. We had no other problems. Each morning we could see a snowy mountain in the distance from our bedroom window. Although the place is right by the road, we didn’t notice any noise, probably because our room didn’t face it.

We’d come for the 5pm wine tasting, but when we arrived at 5:45 they said it was already over 🤨. We had an aperitif instead, and that was good!

The setting was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive. We shared the winemaker’s platter, which was outstanding value for two: lots of different sausages and cheeses, bread, spreads, grapes, tomatoes, and more. My husband loved his Zillertal wheat beer, and I had the house Chardonnay. We ate there yesterday and were absolutely thrilled.
