Caledonia Hotel

The steak was cooked perfectly, one of the best I've had in a while. The portions were huge, and the delicious Dianne sauce and house crumbed snitty were top notch. The dining area was a little too dark, but the staff were friendly and welcoming.

We arrived early at the restaurant, expecting it to be busy so close to Christmas, but we were the first ones there. We picked up our meals at the kitchen doorway and saw how huge the portions were. My barramundi was delicious, though the chips were barely warm except for the ones under the fish. My family enjoyed the chicken schnitzel and steak, but their chips were only just warm too. The gentleman was very busy, but still made time to chat with us, which we appreciated. It's a nice place and we'd consider visiting again, as long as they promise hot chips 😄

It's not the prettiest pub, but there's some local charm to it. The bartender was friendly with the regulars, and the cocktail and food menus seemed updated and fun for an old pub. The dining room had been somewhat renovated, and the back deck looked like the spot to be on a sunny Saturday session 😎🍻

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I have to advise against the bottle shop. We bought a case of beer, then realised it was 11 months past its best before date after each of us had drunk a couple. Some of us ended up with gastro symptoms. When we returned to ask for a refund, the manager was seriously unprofessional, swearing at us and seeming ready for a punch-up. They clearly aren't keeping track of their stock, and we didn't appreciate being met with verbal and physical aggression when asking for basic consumer rights. Disappointingly below par.
