We evacuated from Gumeracha because of the fires on Saturday and booked two nights here. The place was grubby and grotty. It was too hot to sleep in the bedrooms, which had no air conditioning, so we had to sleep on the living room floor. I wish I’d checked under the sofa. YUK. Police allowed us to return to Gumeracha on Sunday, but we were told there’d be no refund. Nice community spirit, NOT. Well done to all the hotels and motels in Adelaide that did help evacuees.

Norwood’s Parade is about a 400-meter walk away, and Burnside hospital is close by too. The location worked well.
