The themed rooms are a simple idea that works really well, and the location is great for the price. My room even had a small fridge, which I appreciated. The bathroom and kitchen were consistently clean. Self check-in was easy, and although the owners may not be there in person, they stay in touch and provide plenty of details to make sure everything’s okay. Such a nice place.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I was stoked to get a Star Wars themed room. The view from my window was of the Calvary Cross. Yeh nah, it’s an excellent spot to set up a rebel base. Only gripe: no complimentary sugar or milk, and the room could’ve used a kettle.

The entrance made me wonder what the heck I’d booked, but inside it was actually pretty decent. Check-in was very easy, all online with automatic check-in since it’s not a manned hotel. The shared bathrooms and toilets are modern, open and roomy, with good pressure and hot water. There’s also a nice little shared kitchen. It’s just a bit far from the CBD.

Room 1 was right by the main entrance, and the door slammed loudly whenever someone came in. It disturbed our sleep at night, which was the one downside. Otherwise, this was a pleasant, comfortable alternative to a hotel or motel. The fully equipped kitchen, laundry and gaming room were great, and the WiFi was fast with low latency. The bathroom is shared, but there was enough privacy for anyone concerned about that.
