BIG4 Port Willunga Tourist Park

Ruth, the lively manager, found me a spot on the Saturday morning of a long weekend. The park looked lovely and was packed, but still peaceful and quiet overnight. It seemed like a great place for kids and families. The service was friendly, and I'd happily stay again when I'm down south. Thanks.

We stayed in the pet friendly cabin with my teenage son and dogs, and it was a fun getaway for family and friends. The rooms are amazing and affordable, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. We had a complaint at the end of the trip, but staff resolved it straight away without hassle. You can also pay a fee for family to come for the day and use the facilities, pools and playgrounds. It's a close to home break that feels like a tropical holiday. A+++.

The park was only okay, and a few things annoyed me. It's quite large, but I couldn't understand why they put us and three other vans in the back corner when there were plenty of sites across the driveway where we could have been spaced out. The cabin behind us was occupied too. When I went to the loo at 7pm, there was no lighting by the driveway or along the walkway to the toilet entrance. The park is in the middle of a paddock, with nothing nearby. I won't be back. Next time we'll go to Moana caravan park. 😍

They found us a lovely shady spot, and the facilities were clean. What really made the stay, though, was the reception team. We got such a warm welcome at check-in, and the women at the desk were unusually kind and enthusiastic, especially in peak season. It made a great start to our time there.
