The free entertainment in the park was a hit with our 5yo, and we loved the daily coffee van. The beach was within walking distance, the park was generally well maintained, and the pools were a great size, mostly shaded by sails. We booked a cabin for three nights over New Year's and knew it would be pricey, but more than $400 per night felt like a lot for two adults, one child and two babies, especially since we provided the babies' sleeping spaces. The cabin's washing machine hadn't been cleaned for a while and its filters hadn't been emptied. I ran two cleaning cycles to get rid of the mouldy, musty smell. A small vacuum would help clean the floors, since the mop head was unusable.

I wrote a scathing review earlier because I was exhausted from travelling, but ended up staying another night in the villa and really enjoyed it. There's heaps of room. The air conditioning was a bit confusing to operate, but it worked. Showers had good pressure and plenty of water, though they were a fraction small, and there should be more holders for personal shampoo and other items. The beds were comfortable and clean, with a few fluffy bits that weren't a problem. Reception were really friendly and helpful, and access to the beach was great. A+.

The pet-friendly cabins are amazing, the best we've ever stayed in. We've now tried both of them and can absolutely recommend either to anyone wanting to bring their furbaby. The staff were so friendly, and it's clear they've thought about guest comfort in every way. Fantastic stay at this park. Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and getting to Adelaide Airport was handy. Our economy cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s a nice caravan and cabin park beside Semaphore beach, with easy access to the shore. I’d stay again.

The location is beautiful, but our 8-day stay over New Year 25/26 with five vans in our group was overshadowed by thefts. On the third night, people moved through the park taking bikes, food from the camp kitchen, shoes from sites and a generator. They also tried to take two electric bikes in broad daylight and took toiletries from the shower area. The park texts guests to lock away valuables, but downplays that people come through during the day while residents are at their sites. There’s no security, even at night, and staff showed little interest or empathy. They just told us to contact the police. The beach gates rarely work, and I’m not sure how often the code is changed. Online searches describe a significant crime problem and regular thefts. If the park knows this is happening, it should invest in better security and consequences. There’s nothing stopping thieves from coming in. People on holiday would gladly pay more to feel secure, so this careless approach from a Discovery Park is disappointing.
