The woman at the front desk was lovely, and that's about the only good thing I can say. The rooms are below basic. The exposed brick walls scratched my phone as I came in. There were no spare pillows, blankets, or towels, no washcloths, and no quilt or doona, just two sheets and what looked like Great Aunty Ethel's raggedy old blanket. We got one flat pillow each in the double bed, which was on wheels without brakes and slid around every time I moved. The bed itself was uncomfortable, so I moved a lot. The TV remote didn't work either. The bathroom was bare, with two empty drawers and not even a shower cap, and it smelled like weed. It looked like the last guests had obviously had fun. There were half a dozen smokers right outside the rooms, so if you're asthmatic, book somewhere else.

The office girl was nice, but that was the only decent part of this shocking motel. My bed rolled around all night, I got just one pillow and no proper comforter, and there were feral people smoking right outside the door. The bathroom vanity looked like an old 70s classroom desk. Next time I'll sleep on a park bench and save the money. At least that won't move around.

The only real plus was the handy location for getting into the city. The online photos made the very basic room look better than it was. For three guests there wasn't enough cutlery or towels, and one towel had bleach stains. There was old meat in the frosted-up freezer, and who knows how long it had been there. Traffic from Main North Road was louder than expected, since the room was only a few metres away. Nobody was at reception when we checked out, and the key box didn't feel very secure.

We stayed for two nights over New Year 2024, with four adults and three children in two rooms at the Enfield Motel. It was good value, especially for budget travellers with their own car. There's plenty of parking, and getting into and around Adelaide was easy. Nearby amenities are within walking distance, and the motel is accessible 24/7, so arriving early or late wasn't a worry. The price was reasonable compared with similar places nearby, and the manager was easy to communicate with and provided great customer service. The beds and air conditioning could be improved, but overall it was convenient and I'd recommend it.

Vic & Tina made us feel welcome every day while we lived at their hotel for three months. They always looked out for us and made sure we were comfortable. We'll never forget all the laughs we shared with you both. Thank you so very much for having us stay. You are absolutely amazing!
