Majestic Tynte Street Apartments

The room was clean, and the place worked well for my family with one child. Getting into the city centre by bus was easy, and the price felt worthwhile. I didn’t take any photos.

We found the studio spacious, with a really comfortable king bed, and the price was reasonable for our three-night stay at Majestic Tynte Street apartments. We were on the first floor, so there was no lift, and parking cost $15 a day. The area is lovely, among North Adelaide’s heritage buildings and green parklands. The free city connector stops right outside every hour, and another bus stop is 200 metres away. O'Connoll Street has so many reasonably priced cafes and restaurants that we barely needed the kitchenette, though it had a hot plate, toaster, microwave, and enough kitchenware. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Very good stay, highly recommended.

The rooms were clean, and secure outdoor parking was available. It’s a great spot near the edge of the city, with the Adelaide Oval, restaurants, and a bakery all within walking distance. You do have to collect the keys five minutes away.

That musty smell in the room was overwhelming, like old odours had been trapped in the carpet for years. I couldn’t face another morning waking up with it in my nose, so I cut my stay short and left a day early. Check-in had already been confusing, too. The location is excellent, but that’s the only positive I can point to. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
