The area was pretty quiet, and my room was clean. All the staff were friendly and respectful, and they held a parcel for me for a few days. There’s limited parking, but if you find a spot there’s no fee. Otherwise, you can park at the open-air car park nearby. Autismsa is next door, which can make the car park entrances a bit confusing. I can’t think of a single complaint about this Mantra.

The $25 breakfast deal was a bit confusing, since it worked as a rebate against the à la carte menu, and I’m not sure it was good value. Still, the food was excellent, so it wasn’t a big deal. I spent two nights here and found the hotel very well run, with helpful, competent staff. Breakfast was served well and came with good coffee. The room had good facilities, and the vending machine on the floor was handy.

The room was clean, comfortable and nice, which we appreciated during our one-night stay. Breakfast and service, though, really brought the experience down. We paid an extra $30 when booking to include breakfast, then found the choice was only 10 dishes, with extra charges for some. You could have coffee or juice, but not both. My partner wanted a few extra ingredients before a long drive, and that cost another $10. We ended up paying $40 for breakfast, which felt way overpriced and not worth it. The staff weren’t particularly friendly either, which made the disappointment worse.

It was a nice, quiet place to sleep, and the rooms were comfortable. A few things needed attention, though: there was rubbish left in our room, and the tea and coffee weren’t replenished the next day. I was also surprised there wasn’t a phone in the room. The air conditioning in the hallways and restaurant wasn’t working, either.
