The air-conditioned private space made our lunch especially comfortable on such a hot day. We were a group of eight, and the staff kept checking that we had what we needed without hovering. The generous, tasty meals were great value, too. Thanks to the Boat Rowers Hotel for looking after us. We’ll be back.

A lovely place for a solo stay or a couple. I got there around 11:00am, and the staff let me check in as soon as my room was ready, which was a real help. The Boatrowers is about a 1.5-2km walk along the waterfront to the Stockton Ferry, roughly 20 minutes at a quick pace or 25 at a steady one. My room was simple but very clean, with a comfy, roomy bed, a full-length mirror, heating and AC you control manually, and a TV. The shared bathroom has one toilet and two showers with a strong hot-water flow. There’s also a cute cafe downstairs for coffee and treats. Thanks for a simple, wonderful stay! ☺️

We were a group of 20 friends having lunch here on 12 Feb 2026, and the staff had everything well organised. It was a comfortable, relaxed place for us to get together. Thanks to the team at the Boatrowers Hotel. 👌👍🙂

The staff were helpful and polite, and the back beer garden was spacious and pleasant. Inside, the old-fashioned bar was full of locals, with a nice bistro and cafe offering a good menu. My first visit, and a very nice old pub.
