Belmont Bayview Park

Our cabin was nothing like the modern one shown in the online photos. It felt like it was from the 70s, and there was no linen on the bunk beds, so I ended up making a three-level bunk. The park itself was clean and reasonably tidy.

The clean linen was one good thing. The location also worked well for the wedding we attended. But the place needs a lot of maintenance. There was decking without a railing, which I wouldn’t have thought was legal, and the paths weren’t swept or looked after. The pool was warm as a bath, but had no shade, no chairs around it, and nobody seemed to be clearing debris from the water. Termite mounds had just been left on the grass. Ants got into our cabin and we had to waste food because of them. Disappointing stay.

The location was the only real positive. Our Spa Cabin from January 2018 bore no resemblance to the nice website photos, and we had to make the kids’ beds when we arrived. The walls were stained, the place was very dusty, and there were ants everywhere. The shower barely trickled. We had to keep the windows shut because people in the next cabin smoked on their small verandah morning and night.

The pool was nice, and the cabins are close to a beautiful lake. But our cabin looked nothing like the photos, and the oven didn’t work. Management hasn’t offered much in the way of compensation so far. Very disappointing.
