We came as a group for a family wedding, and having a room that fit all of us was fabulous. Alan and his lovely wife Carol were wonderful hosts, and the rooms were really good. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. It's close to everything, and I couldn't recommend the place more.

There are lots of wineries, the local pub and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We were treated so well in a homely setting, with freshly cooked breakfast and homemade wine for a nightcap. If you're looking for good old-fashioned hospitality right in the heart of the McLaren Vale, this is the place.

Alan is friendly and very welcoming, and was keen to suggest wineries and share his love of wine. It's a family home with a cosy country feel, a pleasant front yard and a lovely outlook across the flood plain from the back garden. Many wineries and restaurants are nearby, and Coles is about a 20-minute walk away.

The setting is peaceful and stylish, and the accommodation was comfortable. The hosts were warm and friendly. It's just a short walk to the main road and Carmel's Cafe, making it a lovely spot for a weekend getaway.

Breakfast was awesome, and the venue felt so peaceful with fresh country air. We even got to feed the sheep. Alan drove us to the cube for lunch and picked us up afterward, and the main street is also within walking distance. I'd recommend it to others.
