The breakfast in the morning was lovely, and we appreciated having a lock box for the key. We were a bit confused about where the apartments were until the details arrived. The rooms feel cozy and are nicely decorated. That electric blanket was very welcome on the cold winter night we visited. It’s also well placed for the main things we did around the island.

The personal notes, complimentary wine, and fresh bread and yoghurt delivered for breakfast were lovely extra touches. We had a comfortable bed and a stunning bath, and the view over Adventure Bay was beautiful. It’s a perfect spot for getting around Bruny Island. The hosts were quick to respond and very friendly, and the place was thoughtfully and tastefully designed to suit its surroundings. Absolutely superb, can’t fault it.

We had a really enjoyable stay in one of the smaller self-contained eco apartments. After hearing about 43 degrees and its great reviews on TripAdvisor, we called at the last minute in winter and got a slightly cheaper rate. The apartments were spotless and modern, just right for relaxing. The spa bath and very comfortable bed did the trick, and breakfast was waiting at our door just after 8 the next morning. I’d highly recommend 43 degrees. I’d also suggest driving down to Cape Bruny and the lighthouse. The view is fantastic!

The sunset from the luxury apartment was awesome, especially with the bespoke wooden furniture. It’s well equipped with everything you might want in a getaway cabin. The design is cool, whether you’re an architect or interested in eco-tourism. A brilliant Bruny Island experience.

I didn’t stay here. Recently, while driving back from the Bruny Island Hotel, I noticed a car ahead with number plates reading 43Degs or 43Degrees. I assumed its occupants owned this accommodation and was driving about 20 seconds behind them. Then I came across a wallaby that had just been hit, only moments earlier, and was still writhing in pain on the road. I can’t be certain that car hit it, but I can be sure they didn’t even slow down to help the poor animal. Pretty pathetic.
