We found the place dirty: the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, the towels were damp, and there was a nail file on the couch. The floors and coffee table were dirty too. The worst part was dealing with Wendy. She seemed focused only on getting her money, said cancelling was the only way to get ours back, then refused the refund. Stay away, and don’t book through Stayz if you need help dealing with someone like Wendy.
The spot itself was lovely, but the owner was petty and hadn’t cleaned properly. The water jug had mould and the glasses weren’t clean, among other things. We rewashes all the crockery and glasses and wiped out the fridge, yet she left us a three-star cleaning rating after we gave her four stars. Nice one!
The river from the Inlet is right outside and really beautiful. We had a wonderful two nights here with my partner. It’s a five-minute walk to everything in Aireys Inlet and about ten minutes to the lighthouse, with a fantastic walk along the way. The place itself isn’t mind-blowingly amazing, but I’d happily stay again.
The river is just across the road, and the street is quiet. It’s about five minutes on foot to the shops and cafe for breakfast, and ten to fifteen minutes to the lighthouse. A few restaurants are also only a five-minute drive away. Great location.
The cottage was lovely, and the river view made it such a relaxing spot. Beautiful place.
