2521 Blue Horizon - Airlie Beach

The balcony view was incredible, and the apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff were very accommodating after I injured my knee, finding us an apartment with a low step-in shower. The price was great too. We’d certainly stay again and recommend Blue Horizon to all our friends.

We were a group of 16 on a G-Adventure Tour and stayed for two nights. The hotel is up a hill that our van couldn’t manage, though cars are fine. It’s very clean and well appointed, with a nice outdoor pool. Our room was spotless and had a washer and dryer, with laundry soap supplied, plus a fridge, kitchenette and large balcony. There was no safe in the room. I’d give it five stars apart from two things. The room had just been painted and the smell was quite strong; I think it should have been aired longer before being rented. Also, restaurants and attractions are a bit of a long walk away. There’s a Thai Restaurant next door, but I don’t recommend it, which is a shame.

The balcony spa was amazing, and the pool and covered BBQ area were great too. Our apartment was one of the biggest we've stayed in and was really clean. Parking was easy, the location was convenient, and reception and the rest of the staff were friendly. We’d happily come back soon.

Sarah at reception made the stay memorable. She was so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The pool looked beautiful, the view was stunning, and the location and facilities were all great. There was a little mould in the bathroom grout, probably because the building is older, but it wasn't enough to spoil the stay.
