Grand Central Motel

The room was a decent size, and I appreciated having a microwave and utensils. The location was great, and for the price it wasn't bad. Still, the stained, damaged quilt didn't inspire confidence, and the room could use a little care: some flaking paint needs fixing and the sink could use CLR. It was very noisy. I woke at 6am to people moving around upstairs, and noise carried from two streets over. I'd stay again if I had to, but those small things need fixing.

AVOID THIS MOTEL. BAD BAD BAD. Dirty, smelly, noisy, and the room was small. The property is old and dirty. The faded bed sheets looked like they'd been used for a very long time, with stains and a bad smell. The bedside lamp was just for decoration, with no plug. The shower head leaked and the basin water pipe was loose. The bathroom door had to be opened and closed very gently. This is the worst motel. It should be renovated.

I wouldn't recommend this motel. The room was in poor shape and didn't seem to have been properly cleaned before we arrived, with obvious hygiene problems and an uncomfortable, neglected feel. The facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, and several things didn't work as expected. For the price, the accommodation was far below an acceptable standard. Customer service was unsatisfactory too. Staff were unhelpful and seemed unwilling to address concerns or take responsibility. The stay didn't meet even basic expectations.

Don't stay in room 11. It was disgustingly dirty. The bathroom grout was mouldy and the hand basin rusty. The power point in the bathroom was broken, with no cover and a crack through the plate, plus exposed screws. That's highly dangerous and a safety issue. There was no exhaust fan, hairdryer or tissues, and only half a roll of toilet paper. Each bed had one pillow: one was a rock-hard lump, and you could sneeze through the other.
