Mount Gambier Hotel

The dog-friendly rooms were a real highlight on our first visit. They were clean, elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, with a mini dog bed, a dog yard, and bowls included. Travelling with my dog was completely stress-free, which isn't always the case with pet-friendly accommodation. The staff and food were spectacular too. I had the Chicken Pie and my wife ordered the Chicken Skewer, both were so good. They had a carols night on, with candles everywhere giving the place a magical feel. A marvelous idea.

That mushroom gravy was hands down the best I've ever had. The bread roll was perfect for mopping up every bit of it. We had the lunchtime schnitzel special, and it was such a generous meal I struggled to finish it. Service was friendly and jovial, and the staff gave the impression of really enjoying their work. I think that showed in both the food and service. Thanks for a great dining experience. PS: I had no trouble reading the toilet signs 😄

The staff made our last night in the area a pleasure. The waiters even moved us to a bigger table to fit the crayfish. My partner got help choosing a wine to go with hers, and I had the gun smoke old fashion, which was so good. The steak from the josper oven smoker was cooked perfectly and tasted brilliant. The venue is awesome, and the meals were spot on for size, price, taste, and cooking. Nothing to complain about.

The team are easily the best thing here. Everyone we dealt with, from check-in through dinner and breakfast, gets a 10/10. The rooms are beautiful and dinner was top notch. My lobster was perfectly cooked and so yummy. A side of garlic butter would have made it a perfect 10. I'll definitely be back next year.
