The person running this place had a terrible attitude. Please look at the attached photos of our messages. I was too naive. I should have waited for her to initiate the cancellation, then I could have left a negative review on Booking.com. Since we fortunately didn’t stay there, and I ended up cancelling myself, Booking.com won’t let me record what happened. There wasn’t even a hint of an apology. Please don’t stay there. Update: Mary’s first response to my review has been deleted. Photo 5 shows the beginning of it. The new response below now says she doesn’t know me. How dishonest can someone be? Please don’t give this woman the pleasure of taking your money. And to Bella Vista Suites, your response is wholly inaccurate, as usual. Booking.com did not get involved. I’m not removing this post, so feel free to take it further with Google.

Mary was easy to communicate with, and our family really enjoyed the facilities and stay at Bella Vista. The balcony was a favourite, with fabulous views of the Whitsundays. Thanks, Mary. We hope to come back to your wonderful tropical home.

The view was breathtaking, and the house was clean, lovely and just right for the four of us, two people and two dogs. Mary and Ken were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and loving with our dogs, and we were so grateful they let us bring our babies along on holiday. We’ve visited Airlie Beach many times, but this was by far our best place to stay. It’s close to everything, and we’re honestly so happy with the hospitality. We couldn’t recommend Mary, Ken and their place more. Thanks again for having us!

What a view to wake up to! It was the best holiday ever. My wife loved the place, and it was very clean with everything you could ask for. Mary was great at answering all our many questions. I could spend all day on that balcony. There’s so much room that next time we’ll bring a few friends.

We had a lovely surprise of treats waiting when we arrived, and Mary was helpful and available whenever we had a request. Everything we needed was provided. The views and location were beautiful, and our little dog loved the safe, dog friendly front deck. We were there for a family birthday, had a great time, and would recommend Bella Vista. Tricia and her family, Townsville.
