Sunlit Waters Studio Apartments

I really enjoyed my two nights here. The room was super clean and had everything I needed, and the refreshing pool had a nice view of the port. The owner was so nice. My bus wasn’t leaving until 9 pm on my last day, and they let me use the pool and bathroom while I waited. I really appreciated that. If I come back to Airlie Beach, I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you!

There’s a steep hill, so this place is really only for fit people. The facilities are old, worn and not enough, and the wall ratings and online photos are mostly from 5-7 years ago, which felt misleading. The kitchenware and utensils were dirty, and I was fighting cockroaches day and night, on the floor, pillow and even in the pool. The machinery and facilities could get very noisy at night. Peter isn’t available as a contact person. There’s only one staff member, Dean, running the place, which is why check-in is very late and checkout very early. Dean’s language and behaviour towards me as a solo female traveller were inappropriate. Definitely not worth the money.

Easy check-in, parking available, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The patio and nice pool both had a great view over the harbor.

We were even allowed to lounge by the pool after checking out, which we really appreciated, and there’s a big outdoor table plus a nearly fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and fridge. The room was spotless, the staff were super kind, and the owner was incredibly friendly and happy to offer great tips. We had an amazing stay. Only downside was having to leave so soon. Highly recommend for a comfortable, welcoming visit.
