Harbourside Motel

We especially loved the peaceful view of the trees and the birdsong out back. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and the whole property felt open and cared for when we arrived. The site managers were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a really relaxing weekend and would recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Albany. Thank you ☺

Our stay was lovely. The rooms and amenities matched what was advertised, and check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. It’s close to town, easy to find and park at, and neat and tidy. There was some road noise, but otherwise it was quiet and peaceful.

We arrived about 30 minutes after the listed closing time, but the owner came out from his residence to get us checked in and show us around. He was really friendly and easy to chat with. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom, outdoor area, TV, and tea and coffee. It’s a few minutes from the main town, so things are very quiet. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.

I paid for three nights but am leaving today after only two. There were ants, mosquitoes, and cockroaches in the room. I messaged the host asking for mosquito spray, but she never replied. The host also felt very unwelcoming and was rude to me. Since I was staying multiple nights, I asked for a fresh bedsheet. She refused to provide one and asked me to pay $35 to replace the sheets. When I asked again, she tried to blame third-party booking sites, but I’d booked directly through their own website. She said she’d check whether the website mentioned bedsheets and call me shortly, but never got back to us, so we left the room. They don’t provide extra sheets or linen for multi-night stays, so don’t expect clean sheets if you’re staying here for one night. We’ll never come back.
