Motel Le Grande

The food is amazing, and it’s a good hotel, but the service can be rude. On my last visit, the room felt overpriced for what was described as self contained: it only had a microwave and kettle. The plates were just coffee plates, and the only water was from the bathroom sink. There was no coffee, butter or tea, and staff were exceptionally rude when I asked about the amenities. Check what you’re booking before you stay. I’d recommend banksia gardens instead. Hope this helps.

The rooms were spotless, if a little dated, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. We had a very positive stay at this convenient place. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful service.

We left and stayed somewhere else because the staff didn’t help when we raised our concerns. The “superior” room smelled damp, and the dirty air conditioner was making the whole room smell mouldy. One of the bathroom lights wasn’t working either.

We paid $130 for two of us at dinner. The steak tasted funky, and I told them. I later got sick and vomited. I rang the next morning to let them know, without asking for anything, but didn’t even get an apology. I’ve eaten there many times before, but it’s been slowly getting worse. I’m never going back.
