The gardens Wayne has created, with their little themed spaces, made the place feel magical. We spent our planned busy days slowing down instead, surrounded by birds and greenery. It's a beautiful spot, and avoiding the holiday crowds made the effort worthwhile. Wayne should be very proud of what he's done. This is a genuinely eco-friendly, sustainable place, with solar electricity and rainwater rather than mains water. I can see how guests who miss that might complain, but you do need to take excessive rubbish away, and children running around and shouting can disturb the wildlife. That seems pretty clear to me. Wayne, thanks for having us. My heart rate dropped by 10 beats per minute while we were in your paradise. I also appreciated taking fewer showers and being mindful about waste. It's sad to leave, and I hope you can brush off the rude comments from people who just don't get it.

The grounds are stunning, with so much flora and fauna, and the owner gave us a great tour of the farm that taught us a lot. He was friendly and accommodating, and the visit even inspired us to live more sustainably. We had a wonderful time at the Grange on Kalgan and already want to book another holiday there. We highly recommend it if you're hoping to get away from city life and enjoy some stillness in nature.

The property is beautiful and clearly well cared for, and the house felt clean, cosy and homely. I loved the quiet mornings, listening to birdsong and watching the sunset from the verandah. Wayne was a lovely, accommodating host. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and the bedroom heater kept us warm all night during our winter stay. When Wayne spotted that the TV wasn't working on the day we arrived, he arranged for someone to fix it in case we wanted to watch. Thanks for having my partner and me!

It was a dreadful stay. The owner lives there and keeps watch over guests, and it felt like being put up at a distant relative's place against their will. He was hypercritical and shouty if my elderly Mum or I did anything that broke his rules. That's not what you want when you've paid a fortune to relax. Consider yourself warned.

Don't bother staying here. After I left an honest, not even bad, review on booking.com, the owner got my partner's details from the Covid check-in register the next day, even though they weren't on the booking. He then sent us two nasty, rude and unprofessional messages about the review. Unless you leave five stars, expect a barrage of abuse after your stay.
