Thurgoona Country Club Resort

The pro shop staff were incredible, and Lachie was especially helpful. The shop looked great too. My wife and I had an awesome time at the club, with a great course and a great room. The woman who cleaned our room was so lovely and professional, and we had a wonderful night’s sleep thanks to her. We stayed on the 3rd of Dec 2025. I’d recommend the course and all its facilities. I don’t know what the other people are complaining about. I guess they’re looking for something to be outraged by. Suck it up, people! Thurgoona rocks!!! 😉👍😉👍

I’ve worked in hospitality for over six years, and this was some of the worst food and customer service I’ve had in a long time. My mother’s nachos were burnt, so I asked the two young women at the counter if they could remake them. They smirked and whispered to each other, then said it would take five minutes. While we waited, my father and I cut into our $42 “rare” steaks and found they were cooked all the way through. When the replacement nachos came, one of the women slammed the plate in front of my mum without apologising. My mother went to complain, and the only thing we were asked was whether we wanted a refund for our $162 dinner. We declined, since it wasn’t really about the money, but there were no further apologies or questions. Even the manager, who was sitting across from us eating dinner, just watched us leave after a worker told him about our complaint. If you want good food and service in thurgoona, I strongly recommend the Kinross Woolshed, two minutes down the road.

Reception gave really clear instructions for checking in after hours. The room was massive, clean and really nice, with great beds and plenty of spare pillows and towels. The bathrooms were great too.

My father-in-law had his 80th birthday party here with around 50 guests. Everyone was impressed by the food and the service from the club. I’d happily recommend it as a venue for events or functions.
