Alice Lodge has been great for the price, and I plan to come back with my family. I'm a local and got stuck in town because of flooding, with hardly any budget. Alice Springs rents are criminally high, and people who live remotely can struggle to come into town for food or medical needs if they can't camp. I really appreciated the affordable stay, and the lodge's location also means you can walk into town. Otherwise, the place is great. Thank you for keeping it going. The inner dorm has no window, though, and the air gets terribly stale. I had to leave the door open all the time, and honestly would have struggled if someone else had been staying in there. The radio was on constantly, tuned to what had to be the most banal station. I didn't want that music, couldn't focus or talk on the phone with it playing, and the peaceful feel of the place disappeared. Hours of horse racing on the radio drove me nuts. Why not let guests choose the station and volume, or whether it plays at all?

I'm stranded in Alice Springs at the moment, and found a super cheap, clean hostel that feels safe. The yard is neat, the kitchen equipment is good, and the rooms, showers, and toilets are clean. I parked my car behind a very secure fence and don't worry about leaving it there. My room also has a very clean fridge and lockers for my things. It's about a 10-minute walk to the town centre. The host is really kind. This place is underrated and exemplary, absolutely recommendable!

A safe, well-organised place with a great pool and excellent wifi. The room is basic but very clean, and the other guests were respectful. There's no staff onsite, but it was very easy to reach them by phone. Thanks to the team @ Alice Lodge 😊🙏😊

The courtyard layout made it easy to keep track of the kids wherever they went, and the pool was big enough to keep them very happy. Our room was spacious, with its own mini fridge and beds that were actually comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of supplies, and the glass kettle and BBQ were especially nice. It's a perfect spot for families on a budget. The kids didn't want to leave, and now that we're at ayers rock campground cabin, I'm missing Alice Lodge!

I felt comfortable staying here on my own. It's a quiet, clean, basic room with a fridge, around a 10-15 minute walk from the Greyhound stop and shops. The shared bathroom and well-equipped kitchen aren't always left clean by other guests. Laundry and dryer were reasonably priced, and there was an iron and board available. Towels came at no extra cost. The photos are somewhat accurate, though perhaps a bit more polished than reality. Reception wasn't staffed, but replies on WhatsApp were quick. They also stored my luggage at no cost while I went camping.
