The Wi-Fi was fast and steady, and the bed linen was fresh and comfortable. The towels, though, seemed a bit worn and could do with replacing. Our booking at Ararat Motor Inn was changed from a single queen bed to twin beds as an “upgrade”, which felt odd for a couple. I couldn’t really see what had been upgraded. Still, it’s a good place to stay.

The room was set up well, though it was showing its age. We could hear trucks and trains throughout the night, even though the motel isn’t on the main highway. The bed was the hardest I’ve ever slept on. I woke several times and was sore in the morning. Restaurants in the main part of town aren’t within walking distance, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

I was upgraded to a nice room, and the welcome was very friendly. I’ll definitely keep them in mind for my next visit.

Good rates for a nice, quiet hotel. The room was exceptionally clean.

A very nice place to stay, close to the shops in Ararat and not far from the railway station.
