Zappeion Apartments

Our apartment had two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, which worked really well while travelling with children. It was fully furnished and comfortable, with a spacious layout, a lovely view, and a large balcony we enjoyed. The kitchen was well maintained and had all the appliances and utensils we needed to cook. The location was excellent, easy to reach by bus and convenient for getting around. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the paid parking lot was useful for driving. Picking up the keys was inconvenient because we had to go to a completely different location, which was challenging with children and luggage. The rug had old stains, debris, crumbs, and a couple of dead insects, and the couch was very saggy and needs replacing. Even with those issues, we had a pleasant stay and found it spacious and practical for families. With cleaner rugs and better furniture, Zappeion Apartments could be an excellent choice.

I booked for six people, but the room only had one large bed and two single beds. I raised it with the receptionist and was told they'd provide a solution, but nobody followed up. I had no proper place to sleep, so I ended up on an uncomfortable couch that smelled unpleasant. The room itself had a noticeable odor too. It made the stay difficult, especially since I had a long drive the next day. The lack of staff support and the condition of the room left a very negative impression.

The price was great for what I got: spacious, spotless rooms, helpful staff who were always available for questions, and a peaceful night's sleep on a quiet street close to Perth city center. Check-in was a little unusual because there's no physical reception desk here. I had to go to another partnering reception about 500meters away to check in. The carpets and furniture are clean but a bit old and dated. That didn't affect the comfort or cleanliness for me, though it's something to know.

We had a fantastic stay during a 5-day sporting event, with our group spread across several apartments, mostly 2bdrm and a couple of 1bdrm. The manager was very informative and attentive, which helped everything run smoothly. The apartments were spacious and fully equipped with kitchens that suited our teams' nutritional needs, and some had lovely balcony views. Everyone in the group had positive comments. A couple of furniture pieces and parts of the carpet could use a refresh as a finishing touch, but it was a very minor point and didn't detract from the stay. Highly recommended for groups or longer visits.
