Troy and Sam were flexible and caring while our family was dealing with my daughter's childbirth hospitalization. Since our plans changed from day to day, they let us book and pay one day at a time. We stayed in a comfortable two-bedroom apartment with a leafy outlook from the room and porch. The air conditioning, TV, kitchen and shower were all great. We'd gladly recommend Estelle Kramer and stay again on a future overnight visit to Armidale.

After arriving in Armidale during the heavy snowstorm on Saturday 2nd August 2025, we had called lots of motels without finding a room. Wendy at Estelle Kramer said they had one available and went out of her way to help several times during our stay. She was always friendly, as were owners Troy and his wife. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, and we had a relaxing stay. It's within walking distance of the town centre and was reasonably priced. We were very grateful to have found it.

The bed was nice, and having a table in the room was handy. The hotel was pretty good. Ask the receptionist about the wifi. There was also a cool peephole in the door.

The wifi was so poor that I had to rely on the nearby Mackas for internet, even though free internet is advertised on the main signage. I emailed the motel owners twice and got no response, and when I called to discuss it, the owner was curt and surly. I needed wifi for a local conference after my mobile broke, which made that especially frustrating. There was nowhere to hang my shirts, and I found a cockroach under my pillow along with a faint, unpleasant smell. The location is reasonably good, but for what I paid, I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was spotless, nicely furnished and had everything I needed, including a very clean bathroom and toilet. I stopped for one night on the way from Bathurst to Stanthorpe, and got a friendly greeting at check-in. It's well placed near a couple of pubs, restaurants and takeaway spots. I'd highly recommend it as a stopover and would stay again if passing through Armidale.
