The hilltop setting has amazing views, and the cottages are spaced apart in the forest, so there’s good privacy. Our Hepton Hill cottage at Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottage was clean and very well maintained, and we had a good overall stay for two nights. One thing did unsettle us: there was a huge spider in the cottage, bigger than I’d ever seen. We managed to get it outside, but the kids were scared to sleep afterward. The secret Garden could also use a few more activities for children, perhaps a trampoline, swing, or slide.

We came for the weekend for a nearby Wedding and had a lovely time. The little wooden cottage had what we needed for a quiet getaway, and the location was beautiful. We’d like to return in the cooler months, enjoy the wood fire, and spend more time relaxing and exploring around the accommodation. Thanks for having us!

The birds and cows made for such a nice soundtrack at night, and the fireplace kept the cottage lovely and warm. We stayed two nights at Misty View and even got to see the surreal fog in the early morning. Everything was well maintained and had what we needed. Pia welcomed us warmly and suggested we explore the surrounding forest, which we loved. We had such a great stay and will be back :)

A lovely spot for a nature break, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The cottages have good facilities, with an easy-to-use BBQ at each one. Some have better views than others. There’s no wifi, though phone reception is satisfactory. They also have CDs and DVD movies with players, which gave it a bit of a good old days feel. We’d love to visit again sometime.

We woke to birdsong and fog sitting in the valley, then walked through the marri forest and stopped at the lookout. It was such a relaxing weekend in nature. Blythe cottage is stunning, with spectacular valley views from both the lounge and deck. The fireplace was ready when we arrived, and there was a beautiful rustic flower arrangement on the table. Thank you, Pia, Bruce and Maddy. It really felt like a slice of heaven, and we can’t wait to return. We highly recommend it.
