Tegwan’s Nest has so many useful extras. The kitchen had everything I went looking for, along with teas and coffee, including a pod coffee machine and a good selection. There were board games, puzzles, and a big box of old school Lego for kids and adults. Outside on the back verandah, there’s a dart board and telescope for star gazing. Stuart and Bernadine have also set up treasure hunts around the property for little ones, with different difficulty levels for different ages. The house was spotless, which is no small thing in the often-dusty countryside. There was chopped wood by the front door to last our stay in the cooler months, plus wellies in case we’d forgotten ours. It’s a great quick escape from Perth, especially for families showing visiting friends or relatives our beautiful state. If family come to stay with us, I know this would make a great base for a trip out of Perth.

The early coffees on the deck with the birds, including blue wrens, and the late cheese and wine under the stars were lovely. This was our second stay at Tegwans Nest, and the first time it was just my husband and me, while this time we came as five adults. The home had everything we needed. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine with a personalized note and chocolates on the beds when we arrived. I’d happily recommend this little escape to anyone wanting to get away for a while. Thank you, Stuart and Bernadine.

We found Tegwans Nest and it was just right for our three-night stay with two couples. The bedrooms at opposite ends of the house gave each couple nice privacy. The central kitchen and pantry were extremely well set up, and there’s a separate dining room. The lounge is cosy with its wood burner, and the long front deck has magic views. And it’s sparkling clean.

The kids were delighted by the gifts on their beds and feeding the alpacas, while we appreciated the roomy, fully equipped home and complimentary bottle of wine. It felt like a home away from home, with an amazing view. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return.

A fabulous family holiday stay with four bedrooms. The deck has a stunning view, and the fields around the property have chickens, sheep, and alpaca's, making it a great spot for little kids. We’d recommend it 100%.
