Cypress Ridge Cottages

The cottages are spaced apart, so you generally don't see the other customers, and the bushland around them is great for birdwatching. I've just stayed at Cypress Ridge Cottages for the third time. It continues to meet my expectations as a delightful, restful place to stay. I'll be back !!

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the owner Arron. He came across as a narrow minded keyboard warrior, extremely aggressive, and someone who likes to threaten people with violence. I definitely won't recommend this to anyone.

Sitting on the front verandah with a cheese platter is well worth doing, and there are nice walking tracks too. The cottages are superb, spacious and well spaced out, unlike some cottage properties. Ours was well appointed, clean and tidy, with a comfy bed and good bathroom. The compendium explains everything clearly, including how to set the fire. Apparently you can bring your puppy. Visit!

The cottages are far enough apart that you don't feel crowded. We had a peaceful, relaxing weekend, and the clean cottage was comfortable, with a fireplace in the loungeroom, full size fridge, microwave and gas hob. It was lovely to sit out on the front porch with a book, and we enjoyed walking down to the dam. We had a cheese platter with local cheeses and their famous roasted garlic balsamic vinegar. The lady owner was very pleasant. There's a BBQ on the front porch and a big outdoor one out the front of the cottage. You can bring your dog, and the local watering hole, i.e. pub, is just a couple of k's down the road if you feel like being convivial. A very pleasant weekend.
