The sticky date dessert was very good, though the ice cream portion was so tiny I had to ration it. I asked for more, but $2 for a mouthful seemed a lot. Maybe that sounds fussy, but at $15 I expect more than a very small scoop. I’ll still be back, as it really was good. The bartender recommended the porterhouse steak with chips and salad, and it was very good. The salad actually had dressing on it, unlike at most places that seem to skimp, and the chips were good too. Nice place and well worth a visit.

We went to the Western on Saturday with our son, their wives and our grandson. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the food was good. I also liked that they left a decent gap between entree and main, which you don't get at many places now. I'd recommend it.

Our little group gets together at The Western every month. The menu and specials suit different tastes, and the meals arrive quickly. The team are friendly and efficient, and we appreciate the loyalty card too. Thanks, Western 🙏

The meal was delicious and the service was excellent, which made my wife's birthday lunch a great experience. We booked online easily and could add notes about allergies. I chose a booth, and the staff were helpful from the moment we arrived, including advising us on meals that would work with her allergy. I'd highly recommend the Western Hotel Bistro.

We go to the western every week because the food is always great and the service is lovely. They greet us by name when we arrive and are good at listening to what we need. Ollie is one of the staff who welcomes us, and he's so polite. 100% recommend dining there.
