The river view from our one bedroom suite was lovely, especially from the balcony where we could watch boats and jet skis. It was quiet, clean and comfortable, and we shared a private laundry with the suite next door. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The fridge is small, so reception can provide an ice bag and bucket. There’s secure underground parking with disability spaces, easy ground floor access, two lifts and a trolley. The pool, gym and meeting rooms are there too. Ballina was a surprise, and the Ramada is ideally placed. Salt Bush dining, a boutique bottle shop and wine tasting are downstairs. On the street there’s a bakery and Italian and Indian restaurants, all open seven days. Woolies, cafes, pubs and shops are only a few minutes away on foot. The boardwalk out front leads to the Wharf restaurant and bar for fresh seafood. A good place to sleep and unwind, whether you’re here for work or a break. There’s also a blow bar near the main entrance, handy if you’re staying Thursday to the weekend. Sadly it wasn’t open when I needed a wash and blowdry.
