I made a booking mistake, and they sorted it out even though it was my error. The staff were amazingly helpful, super friendly, and the place has a great vibe. The bathrooms are modern and clean. As a solo female traveller, I feel Barcaldine is very safe, and this is my place to stop. There's a restaurant on site and parking too.

Our furry children were warmly welcomed, which meant a lot after such a long drive. We only spent a few early morning hours here while breaking up a 21-hour journey, but the staff were beyond lovely and the experience was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean, especially for a carpeted, pet-friendly room. I'm very particular about cleanliness and won't stay anywhere that doesn't meet a high standard, so I was genuinely impressed. A great stay for older-style accommodation. 9.5/10 for cleanliness.

The BBQ area was lovely, and we were able to cook a meal there. After a hot day, the pool was great and refreshing. Staff were very friendly, and the spacious rooms were well maintained. The bathroom was nicely finished, clean and roomy.

Friendly service, clean and comfortable rooms, and cold AC made for great value accommodation. The pool is ideal for cooling off after a long summer drive. It's a short drive to the main street shops, with direct access to the Landsborough Hwy.

The restaurant was beautiful, with brilliant food and excellent service. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably self-contained, and it's on Barcaldine's southbound exit road, handy for an early getaway. I've stayed twice in three months and was very impressed with the hospitality and customer service both times. I just hope next time isn't because I'm evacuating from floodwaters 😅
